Al verle figureando en los periódicos este domingo con esto de la visita al país de los Rosenthal, el seminario "la profecía de Israel, es más tarde de lo que usted cree", me dispuse de inmediato investigar un poco sobre el asunto, y habiéndome informado con anterioridad sobre otra organización similar, "Jews for Jesus", a continuación le transcribo parte de lo que he encontrado en el Net, a ver si me regala cuando pueda una opinión al respecto.

Zion's Hope, a Protestant and Fundamentalist Christian non-profit organization identifying itself on its website as "an independent, Bible-believing, faith-missionary agency".

The Zion's Gate campus is spread over 17 acres and includes both the corporate offices of Zion's Hope as well as the Holy Land Experience.

The Scriptorium exhibit is a joint venture of Zion's Hope and another international Christian ministry based in Orlando, Sola Scriptura.

Judge gives Holy Land Experience tax break
(07.11.05) — ORLANDO, Fla. -- A circuit court judge ruled in favor of a Christian theme park seeking nonprofit exemptions from property taxes. The Holy Land Experience, developed by a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian ministry called Zion's hope, had been granted only limited exemptions, those given for administrative and education facilities.

The Holy Land ExperienceNestled away in Orlando, Florida, amid major tourist attractions such as Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios Theme Park, a newer entry has appeared, titled The Holy Land Experience. Operating as a ministry of Zion's Hope, this religiously-based theme park purports to enable visitors to experience life as it was during the days of Jesus. Their goal is to bring to life the Old and New Testaments through various exhibits, dramatic presentations, and musical performances.
The heart and soul of The Holy Land Experience and of its sponsor, Zion's Hope, is Pentecostal Christian evangelism; yet, the exhibitions and presentations can be interesting and entertaining to persons of all faiths.

Jews for Jesus has been condemned by a number of secular groups and groups who oppose the proselytization of Jews.
[Este es el mismo problema que tenemos nosotros en Dominicana con el proselitismo protestante. En Estados Unidos algunos grupos se oponen a que se les predique este nuevo “evangelio” a los judíos]
The Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington, an umbrella organization that includes Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran and Presbyterian church groups, has condemned Jews for Jesus as promoting activities "harmful to the spirit of interreligious respect and tolerance." The conference is opposed to religious proselytizing in general.
The conference also denounces the group's "deceptive proselytizing efforts", stating that when practiced on "vulnerable populations" such as the young or the elderly, these efforts are "tantamount to coerced conversions."

The Rev. Clark Lobenstine, a secular Presbyterian (PCUSA) minister and executive director of the Conference, has stated that his group condemns Jews for Jesus and other messianic Jewish groups by name because they "go beyond the bounds of appropriate and ethically based religious outreach." .
Rick Ross, an alleged "cult expert", has been critical of the organization as well and has included them on his website.

The Board of Governors of The Long Island Council of Churches, a group that is opposed to proselytizing of Jews in general, voiced similar sentiments in a statement that "noted with alarm" the "subterfuge and dishonesty" inherent in the "mixing [of] religious symbols in ways which distort their essential meaning", and named Jews for Jesus as one of the three groups about whom such behavior was alleged.
The Christian Scholars Group on Christian-Jewish Relations (an organization consisting of 22 Christian scholars, theologians, historians and clergy from six Christian Protestant denominations and the Catholic Church) issued a statement in September 2002, "A Sacred Obligation: Rethinking Christian Faith in Relation to Judaism and the Jewish People", offering ten positions "for the consideration of our fellow Christians." Among them the following are listed: "Christians should not target Jews for conversion. Christian worship that teaches contempt for Judaism dishonors God."
Finally, the Boca Raton News newspaper County Jewish organizations protest evangelical attempt wrote in a November 2003 article:
The JCRC (Jewish Community Relations Council) is deeply disturbed and distressed, however, with the practices of these so-called ‘Hebrew Christians’ that demean Judaism by suggesting it is not as valid a faith as that of the proselytizer. These groups have undertaken an aggressive and deceptive campaign of proselytizing to the Jewish community, targeting our most vulnerable members, including the frail elderly and college students, with the intent to convert them to Christianity.
